About Me
I’ve always been drawn to stories—how people make meaning from their experiences, how they talk about what matters to them, and how the right words can open doors. For more than 20 years, I worked in marketing & communications, helping national organizations and higher‑ed institutions articulate who they are and why they matter. It taught me how to listen closely, ask the right questions, and uncover the details that make someone unforgettable.
I didn’t expect those skills to become the foundation of a second career.
Every student has a story worth telling. Sometimes they just need someone to help them see it.
How I Got Here
When my own kids began their college searches, I approached the process the only way I knew how: through conversation, curiosity, and narrative. We talked about what lit them up, what shaped them, and what they wanted next. Together, we built applications that felt like them—clear, confident, and honest. They ended up at colleges that fit them beautifully, not because we chased prestige, but because we chased alignment.
Friends noticed. Then friends of friends. And I realized something: this work felt more meaningful than anything I’d done in my career.
My Approach
Individualized
Guidance tailored to each student's unique path.
Storytelling
Narratives that make applications memorable.
Confidence
Students feel capable & supported throughout.
Fit
Finding the environment where students thrive.
Today, I help high school students uncover their strengths, connect the dots across their experiences, and tell a story that feels true. My approach is warm, strategic, and grounded in getting to know your student—not fitting them into a template. I’m also pursuing my certification through UC Irvine’s College Counseling Program and am a student member of HECA, because I believe professional expertise should be paired with formal training and ethical standards.
I care deeply about access. Alongside my private practice, I support first‑generation and low‑income students through UStrive and Matchlighters and reserve additional pro bono spots each year.
At the heart of all of this is a simple belief:
Every student has a story worth telling. Sometimes they just need someone to help them see it.
If that’s what your student needs, I’d love to meet them.
Let's start with a conversation.
I’ll learn more about your student, answer your questions, and help you determine the right level of support — no pressure, no obligation.
